چکیده
Lacewings (Neuroptera) are the efficient predators of pests in different agroecosystems. In this paper, totally 23 species of 14 genera including, Anisochrysa, Chrysopa, Chrysoperla, Cunctochrysa, Dichochrysa, Mallada, Suarius of family Chrysopidae, Coniopteryx, Hemisemidalis of family Coniopterigidae, Hemerobius, Sympherobius, Wasmaelius of family Hemerobiidae and Myrmeleon, Palpares of family Myrmeleontidae were collected from Iranian rice fields and surrounding grasslands.

Beetles (Coleoptera) are the largest order of insects, which exist in all agroecosystems and natural ecosystems. Since rice fields include both aquatic and subterranean ecosystems, diverse fauna of beetles are active in rice fields of the world. In regard to the importance of these insects in chain foods of biosphere, fauna of some coleopteran families was surveyed in north rice fields of Iran ...
متن کاملThe First Mitochondrial Genomes of Antlion (Neuroptera: Myrmeleontidae) and Split-footed Lacewing (Neuroptera: Nymphidae), with Phylogenetic Implications of Myrmeleontiformia
In the holometabolous insect order Neuroptera (lacewings), the cosmopolitan Myrmeleontidae (antlions) are the most species-rich family, while the closely related Nymphidae (split-footed lacewings) are a small endemic family from the Australian-Malesian region. Both families belong to the suborder Myrmeleontiformia, within which controversial hypotheses on the interfamilial phylogenetic relation...
متن کاملEarly Morphological Specialization for Insect-Spider Associations in Mesozoic Lacewings
Insects exhibit a wide diversity of anatomical specializations in their adult and immature stages associated with particular aspects of their biology. The order Neuroptera (lacewings, antlions, and their relatives) are a moderately diverse lineage of principally predatory animals, at least in their immature stages, as all have a modified piercing-sucking mandible-maxillary complex that allows t...
متن کاملReconsideration of the role of yeasts associated with Chrysoperla green lacewings
As larvae, lacewings in the genus Chrysoperla (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae: Chrysopinae: Chrysopini) are predators of aphids and other soft-bodied insects. Adult Chrysoperla, however, are not predacious and feed on pollen, nectar, and honeydew. Earlier studies observed that Chrysoperla adults house yeasts in their crops, and based on the results of a sorbic acid yeast suppression experiment, conclu...
متن کاملVolatile Semiochemicals Increase Trap Catch of Green Lacewings (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) and Flower Flies (Diptera: Syrphidae) in Corn and Soybean Plots
This study reports on the attractiveness of volatile chemicals to green lacewings (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) and flower flies (Diptera: Syrphidae) as measured by catch on yellow sticky traps within corn [Zea mays L. (Cyperales: Poaceae)] and soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr. (Fabales: Fabaceae)] plots. Green lacewings were attracted to eugenol-baited traps in two tests in soybean plots. Follow-up ...
